After the Kasvu Open sparring process, Neuro Event Labs from Tampere has been chosen as the most promising growth company in the wellbeing industry’s Digital Health Growth Path. SenSoftia Oy from Kuopio received an honourable mention. The companies will go on to participate in national-level sparring and the finals, where the best growth companies in Finland will be chosen in the Start Again and Startup categories.
These two companies were chosen from the 15 growth-hungry businesses that were, in turn, chosen by experts for sparring from among the 47 original applicants.
The judges evaluated the companies based on several criteria, including the business idea’s value for the customer, the team’s expertise, the company’s growth potential and internationalization potential.
The winner, Neuro Event Labs, was founded in 2015 and focuses on the remote monitoring and analysis of epileptic seizures using machine vision and machine learning. According to the judges, the company has an innovative product and a service design that has growth potential both within the sector and in the global markets. The company also has strong expertise and an excellent team.
The honourable mention recipient, SenSoftia Oy, was founded in 2014 and specializes in healthcare application development and IT services. The company offers a cloud-based reception service that combines a healthcare institution’s video reception, the customer’s health-related measurements and preliminary analysis in one package.
“The company is in the right place at the right time, considering the changes in the market. In addition, they have already demonstrated good growth potential in their existing business activities”, the judges comment.
The companies that received sparring from our experts are: Nordic Meditech Solutions (cardiomeDIC), Wexma Oy and BuddyHealthcare from Helsinki, Diske Oy and Heart2Save from Kuopio, PulseOn Oy from Espoo, Spektikor Oy from Oulu, Fjuul Vision Oy from Sipoo, Moodmetric and Huoleti from Tampere, Olento Life Oy / We Did It® The Relationship Method from Kotka, Etsimo Healthcare Oy from Turku and Fibion Oy from Jyväskylä.
The panel of judges includes Project Manager Kari Halinen for the Hippos2020 project/City of Jyväskylä, Development Manager Reijo Itkonen from Finnmedi Oy, Kasve Oy’s CEO Hanna Kumpulainen, Project Manager Janne Laitinen from Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, Sales Manager Matti Karttunen from Azets Oy, Mega Elektronics Oy’s Head of Sales Pekka Pirttiaho and Business Consultant Kimmo Vainikainen from Talentree Oy.
Digital Health -Growth Path is part of Kasvu Open. The national finals, Kasvu Open Carnival, which will take place in October 2017. In Carnival the best growth companies in Finland will be chosen from among the 100 finalists.
