Self-employed can apply for support starting on April 15th. The city of Kuopio feels that it is important to react quickly and offers support for solo entrepreneurs that is now open for applications. The support consists of a lump sum of 2,000 euros to help stabilize the operations of solo entrepreneurs affected by the coronavirus pandemic between 16.3.–31.8.2020.
The coronavirus support for self-empluyed is intended to help in creating a more sustainable financial basis for the entrepreneurs during and after the pandemic. The support is temporary and only to be used for the acute liquidity crisis caused by the pandemic.
The support can be applied for in the municipality of residence of the company, stated in the Finnish business information system (YTJ). In case the municipality of residence is not correct in YTJ, you can find instructions on what to do on the website of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office. You can apply for the support online and the applications are processed in the order they are received. The business development services of the city of Kuopio will process the applications.
– A duly filled in application form speeds up the application process. The applications will be processed as quickly as possible and the support will be paid quite quickly. Support is very important to many solo entrepreneurs and will help many of them get through the hardship. I want to wish all entrepreneurs strength and faith in better times during this emergency conditions, says Jukka Pitkänen, director of economic development at the city of Kuopio.
The support consists of a lump sum of 2,000 euros to cover the expenses of, for example rent, equipment, accounting and other office-related costs. The support can be granted to cover expenses that have been created after 16.3.2020. The application period ends on 31.8.2020
